The Water Bearer or Young Woman with a Pitcher is an oil on canvas painting by Francisco de Goya, now in the Museum of Fine Arts (Budapest). According to the art historian Juliet Wilson Bareau, this and The Knifegrinder were painted for the house of painting in Madrid.After his long production of tapesty cartoons for the royal factory, where his works conformed to the royal court's rococo style, Goya started painting genre scenes.
